Safety Guidelines

  1. First and fore most if you are new to exercise consult with you physician before embarking on an exercise program.
  2. Before assembling the MOG to your vehicle, make certain that your vehicle in parked on level ground, transmission in in park, the parking brake is engaged, and engine is off.  It is even recommended to chalk one of your wheels.
  3. The MOG is only intended for resistant training and to only used with resistant bands, may they either be the tubular style and or the flat band.  NEVER tow or pull anything with the MOG, and the MOG is not a pull up bar.
  4. Before each use it is recommended to check the condition of your resistance bands for damage.  If a band is damaged discard and replace.  Do not pull handles or bands directly toward your face.
  5. All attempts have been made to ensure there any sharp edges or burrs have been removed from the tubing.  At no time should you place any fingers inside of any of the holes or in the ends of the steel tubing.
  6. Each vertical tube has an stoppage tab on the back of it so that when the tubes are inserted into each other you do not need to hold and struggle to align the holes of two pieces to insert the threaded knob.

Setting up the MOG for vehicle use.

  1. The MOG is composed of the main vertical bars, back stop rods, a back stop (vehicle protector), 3 back stop rods,  MOG hitch receiver, 3 threaded locking knobs, 2 adjustable anchor loops,  1 lower adjustable tail piece anchor loop, 4 shaft locking pins pin’s, and 8 -9” ball tarp bungee loops, and 1 hitch receiver pin.
  2. To assemble the MOG perform the following steps:
    1. Inset the MOG receiver into your vehicles hitch receiver, insert the hitch receiver pin, and locking pin.
    2. Insert the first vertical bar into the MOG receiver and thread the longest of the 3 threaded locking knob through the bar into the MOG receiver. Tighten knob.
    3. With a shaft locking pin in hand insert the lower adjustable tail piece (anchor loop facing you) anchor pin into the bottom of the vertical bar you just installed.  Insert the shaft locking pin into the lower pin hole to set the height of the lower tail piece to your desired height. Secure the retainer clip of the shaft locking pin.
    4. With a shaft locking pin in hand slid the larger adjustable anchor loop (large part of loop facing up) over the vertical rod and secure into the desired position (height) with the shaft locking pin. Secure the retainer clip of the shaft locking pin. If desired the sliding anchor loops can be left in place when disassembling and for storage. Be sure to keep the locking shaft pin in place to hold the anchor loop securely in place.
    5. Insert the second vertical bar into the top of the first vertical bar. Secure in place with the longer of the two remaining threaded locking knob.
    6. With a shaft locking pin in hand slid the second adjustable anchor loop (loop facing down) over the vertical rod and secure into the desired position (height) with the shaft locking pin. Secure the retainer clip of the shaft locking pin.
    7. Slide the 3rd vertical bar into the top of the second bar and secure in place with the 3rd threaded locking knob.
    8. Unhook the Velcro retaining strap and rotate the top bar with two anchor loops towards you as you are facing the MOG.  In the most upper hole insert the remaining shaft locking pin and secure the retainer clip of the shaft locking pin.
    9. To install the backstop insert the insert one of the rods into the larger lower hole on the first vertical bar (bar installed in step b.) so that an even length of rod is protruding from each side, insert second rod halfway into the rod holder on the second vertical bar, and insert the remaining rod so that an even length of rod is protruding from each side into the last remaining hole on the third vertical bar.
    10. With the back stop in hand find the “pockets” in the middle of backstop and slide one of the pockets onto the rod, then hold the other pocket and pull the rod halfway out of the bar and line the pocket with the bar and slide the bar back through the bar so it is aligned evenly with the sides of the backstop.
    11. To complete installation insert the loop end of one tarp bungee through a grommet hole, pull approximately halfway through the grommet and  while holding the loop end pull the knob over the top bar and pull knob through the loop to secure the tarp bungee into place. Repeat these steps for the 3 remaining top bungees and for the 4 lower tarp bungees.
    12. After ensuring all threaded locking knobs and shaft locking pins are secured your MOG is ready for exercising.

Disassembly

To disassemble the MOG perform the above steps in the reverse order that you assembled the MOG.

Safety Guidelines

  1. First and fore most if you are new to exercise consult with you physician before embarking on an exercise program.
  2. The MOG is only intended for resistant training and or functionality training and to be only used with resistant bands, may they either be the tubular style and or the flat band.  The MOG is not intended to be used as a pull up bar.
  3. Before each use it is recommended to check the condition of your resistance bands for damage.  If a band is damaged discard and replace.  Do not pull handles or bands directly toward your face.

Home Installation

  1. Before you can assemble the MOG in your home you will need to ensure you can attach the two wall brackets to a structurally sound wall.  The MOG can be secured to wall studs, concrete block masonry wall, or a poured concrete wall.  Mounting the wall brackets will require mounting with the proper anchors for the type of material you are securing it to and provide the adequate shear strength to withstand the pulling force while being used.  If you are unsure of what type of anchor to use it is recommended to check with your local hardware store or building material store.
  2. Once you have decided where you will be mounting the wall brackets and have the proper anchors you are ready to mount the brackets.  The wall brackets are intended to be left in place and it is not expected to remove them when the MOG is not setup in the home.
  3. To mount the brackets first start with the lower bracket (long bracket with threaded rod and star knob.  It is recommended to mount the bracket at 10 – 12 inches from the floor to the bottom of bracket.  The bracket is to be mounted so the two anchors holes run up and down.  Secure in place with two anchors and ensure the brackets is mounted plumb (straight up and down).  The upper bracket should be mounted 46-48 inches center to center from the lower bracket.  It is recommended that the bracket is positioned so it just sits under the band anchor loop on the third upright.  You can dry fit the unit assemble to ensure you have the upper wall bracket positioned at the correct height.
  4. Once you have ensured that the brackets are securely mounted in place you are ready to
  5. To set the MOG into the brackets it is recommended to set the uprights individually and not the unit completely assembled.  To install the first upright (larger of the three) slide the upright onto the threaded rod on the bracket through the ½” diameter hole near the bottom of the upright.  Once the upright is fully seated thread the star knob onto the threaded stud to lock the first upright into place. If the adjustable anchor has not been installed yet, you will need to install the anchor loop and locking pin before installing the second upright.
  6. Next take the second upright and set the end with the ½” hole into the top of the first upright.  Insert one of the threaded knobs into both holes of the two uprights and tighten the knob.  As with the first upright If the adjustable anchor has not been installed yet, you will need to install the anchor loop and locking pin before installing the third upright.
  7. To install the third upright first unhook the Velcro retaining strap and rotate the top bar with two anchor loops towards you as you are facing the MOG.  In the most upper hole insert the remaining shaft locking pin and secure the retainer clip of the shaft locking pin.  After the upper arm with the two loops is locked into the hinge bracket and with a retaining locking pin in hand insert the lower end into the second upright. Set the retaining locking pin into the holes in the upper wall bracket to hold the MOG in place.  Once the pin is secured take a second threaded knob and insert through the second and third upright holes and tighten the knob.
  8. The last step for set up is to set the lower tail piece anchor loop into the lower upright. To set the tail piece slide the slotted end into the bottom of the upright and set the retaining locking pin into the side whole at the desired height.
  9. The backstop is not required with the MOG when used in the home.
  10. Once you have ensured all retaining locking pins and threaded knobs are properly secured in place the MOG is ready for use. set the MOG into the wall brackets.

Disassembly

To disassemble the MOG perform the above steps in the reverse order that you assembled the MOG.

The unit includes a hitch receiver adapter, hitch receiver locking pin, 10 piece set of resistance bands, 5 locking spring pins, 4 threaded star knobs, 5 pieces of steel tubing that are the frame of the MOG, the home version wall brackets, backstop, 3 back stop support rods, 8 toggle cords to secure back stop to the support rods, and a padded carrying bag.

The bag measures 26”w x 13”d x 3”h.  Currently only black is available in the carrying bag.

When assembled the MOG is approximately 7’ (84 inches) long.  The height of the unit is dependent on the vehicle hitch receiver height.

The back stop was designed to help prevent possible damage to a vehicle in the event the user lost his or her grip on the handles of the bands.  The back stop does not offer any real benefit for home use since the MOG is mounted very close to a wall.

Additional bands are available for purchase.  At this time only the tube style bands are available for purchase and are the style of bands included with the MOG kit.

Yes, the brackets can be left in place and it is recommended that they be left in place so as not to wear out the points of what they are anchored to.  It is also recommended to periodically to check the hardware that was used to anchor the brackets for continued solid securement.  The wall brackets protrude approximately 3 inches from the wall.

Yes, in the event a hardware (locking) item is misplaced, send an email to mountoutgearllc@gmail.com  stating what item you need to order.  Except for the resistance bands the hardware items can be bought as single items.  No minimum is required for these items.

The hitch receiver adapter is also available in  1 ¼”  adapter.  We can easily fabricate an adapter for a 2 ½” or 3” hitch receiver.  There would likely be a small upcharge for shipping the larger adapters due to the increase in weight of the larger steel.
